We as a team wanted to build the bag manufacturing business through social entrepreneurship. Initially, we chose rural women with a sewing machine who can spare time amidst their household chores. It started with 5 Women partners. And we were able to put in a system and successfully deliver the orders. Rather than setting up a factory under one roof, this model gives opportunity for those who can’t participate in the workforce. Now there are 400+ active Women partners working with us. Subsequently, many women approached us for work but didn’t have a sewing machine. So we started a program to train and provide them with sewing machines. We have provided sewing machines to 30% of total women partners. We take care of the technical aspects while our women partners handle the production. Now our capacity is 4 Lakh bags per month. And our quality is one of the best in the market.
